INTRODUCING: Loot The Monster! - A Project that Grows with Every Backer

Hello everyone! I'm Ada—a philosopher, historian, and an avid fan of role-playing games. I'm on a journey to find my niche in the world. 🌍

Have you ever been bummed out when you defeat a drow in your first encounter and their spectacular weapons turn into mere mundane items upon their death? It certainly frustrates me. 😞 To tackle this, I've created "Loot the Monster!"—a comprehensive guide filled with items and magical treasures that your foes might carry. 📖✨

Here’s what I've put together: a collection of 1,000 carefully themed items, including 100 magical treasures, spread across a 120-page book. 📚 I've organized these into 15 broad categories based on creature types, each with a D10 table for random selection. Additionally, I picked out 85 specific creatures and crafted a D10 table for each, where a roll of 10 always yields a magical item. The other items? They're common enough but come with their own quirks: each has a specific utility, a difficulty level to uncover that utility, and a set market value. 🔮

I'm also excited to share that I've designed a deck of cards featuring the 100 magical items, available through DriveThruCards, and the physical book will be fulfilled via DriveThruRPG. Being a seasoned Roll20 user, I’m taking advantage of the synergy between DriveThruRPG and Roll20 to also offer this as VTT material as part of the campaign. 🎲🖥️

Inspired by my friend Alma, who had great success and recommended it highly, I’m adopting her stretch goal approach: for every supporter, I’ll create a new item, keeping a steady 10% of them magical, complete with their own cards, to be included in the book, the VTT, and the card deck. 🌟

With the final 9 days, our Timeless Caverns Boxed Set Kickstarter campaign is on the cusp of victory, currently at 65% of our ambitious goal. Your unwavering support has been the wind in our sails; we're endlessly grateful for that. Yet, the final leg of our quest lies ahead, and it's here we must rally and push forward with all our might.

Exciting Announcements Ahead

Deep within the world's core, obscured by the passage of time, rests an ancient treasure of uncalculable might foretold to hold the key to total domination of the realm. Fate rests on your shoulders. Are you brave enough to enter-

The Timeless Caverns

Realizing that our epic gaming experience lacked the depth we dreamed of, we innovated a nimble yet effective system. This sleek solution enables players to launch their favorite adventure in minutes, bypassing the need for any preparations.

The "rules-lite" streamlined system in the Heroes & Horrors Codex lets you quickly set up your preferred version (OSE or 5e), providing a unique, randomized adventure each time. It's ideal for extended single sessions or tournament-style play, enabling multiple participants to manage the creatures. This makes it excellent for convention play, filling gaps between campaigns, or as its own tabletop game. The core of the simplified game is strategic exploration, combat, and treasure hunting, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and resource management to survive the caverns and defeat the bosses. It is as simple as:

1. Choose your system: OSE or 5e
2. Choose your teams: Heroes -or- Horrors
3. Assign/Randomize Start locations
4. Roll out the Battlemaps and pick your minis
5. Start Adventuring!

Good Evening Everyone,

I totally failed my perception check by not adding the Codex to the digital rewards. Rest assured, it will be delivered to all tiers except the $1 Pathfinder's Pledge. The above blurb was added to the Rewards text, as I can no longer modify the actual rewards.

My apologies for this oversite! 

On another note, the Kickstarter video has been updated; I would love to hear your thoughts on it rather than my ugly old mug babbling in front of Lake Geneva...

The Halfway Point Slog! First Look - Pech and Xeg-Yi

Happy Friday Everyone,

I hope you had a great week! We have some fresh designs coming over the next few days, one of which I am most excited about: The Dracolisk! But for now, we have our Pech model completed and test-printed.

We also have our first look at the Xeg-Yi, which, along with its happier cousin, the Xag-Ya, is our first stretch goal. I will print these to match the creatures' positive/negative aspects. 

Our new Vacuform Machine is coming this weekend, we will finally have shots of the finished boxed set to share. We were originally going to use foam for packing, but got some great advice from our friends at 23rd Century Productions and decided it would be much easier and better quality to have everything packed that way. 

We will be announcing a few new features to the set as we come down the stretch! One being a chance to play the original adventure on Roll20 with your most humblest of DM's.
